GRADING POLICY
LATE WORK: An assignment will be considered late if it is turned in later that the time it is collected in class. When an assignment is late, the student will be given a ZAP referral.
MAKE-UP WORK: You should consult the student handbook for the exact policies regarding absences and make-up work for every day that is missed. Please remember that if a test was scheduled that the student knew about ahead of time, they must take the test.
GRADED ASSIGNMENTS:
· Major grades 50%: These will be things like tests, major projects, or major labs. Students will know about these at least a week prior to the date they will be due. There will be at least three each 9 nine weeks.
· Daily grades 50%: We will have several daily grades each 9 week period. This may consist of labs, quizzes, daily work, workbook pages, etc. You are expected to turn your assignments in on time.
MAJOR GRADE TESTS: If you earn less than an 80% on a major grade test only, you have the opportunity to raise the grade to an 80%. This is only for tests...does not include projects. Below are the procedures-
If you receive a 69% or below, you will be allowed to come in for retakes. You must come to one of the assigned tutorial days to do this. You will take a different version of the test. If you score better on the retake your grade will be raised to a maximum of an 80%. If not, your original grade will stand.
